New Jersey’s 38th Annual

“Let’s Talk Adoption”sm Conference

March 12, 2020

Concerned Persons for Adoption (CPFA) Members, Community Supporters and Agencies:

As you know CPFA volunteers and Rutgers University School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education liaisons have been working for over six months on the planning and coordination of the 38th Annual “Let’s Talk Adoption” Conference scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd at Rutgers University. On March 10th Rutgers University sent out an announcement to the university community about steps being taken to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. All events in the Rutgers University community involving groups larger than 15 are cancelled through April 15. Groups with events schedule after April 15th have been asked to consider postponing, canceling or considering alternative plans. Based on the request of Rutgers community, discussion with the School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education liaisons and CPFA, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s “Let’s Talk Adoption” Conference planned for May 2.

We appreciate everyone’s support in the planning of our annual conference – our workshop presenters, keynote speaker, exhibitors, book seller, the School of Social Work Continuing Education liaisons and volunteers! We promise to keep you informed about our upcoming plans for the Let’s Talk Adoption Conference. We will miss seeing all of you at the conference this year! Please let us know if you have any questions and please take care!

On behalf of CPFA and the Let’s Talk Adoption Conference Team,

Lynn Riker
